pomme create

Create a managed macOS VM.

pomme create [FLAGS] [NAME]
Argument Description
NAME VM name for direct creation.
Flag Description
--config CONFIG Create VMs from a JSON, YAML, TOML, or Pkl config.
--version VERSION macOS version, build, or latest.
--latest Use the latest signed macOS version. Same as --version latest.
--restore-image RESTORE_IMAGE Local IPSW path. Available only in direct mode.
--from-template FROM_TEMPLATE Clone an installed template (see pomme template) instead of restoring an IPSW.
--ipsw-device IPSW_DEVICE Apple silicon Mac identifier used to resolve --version.
--disk-size DISK_SIZE Virtual disk size. Default: 60GB.
--memory MEMORY Guest memory size. Default: 8GB.
--boot BOOT State after creation: normal (default), recovery, or none. Values: none, normal, recovery. Default: normal.
--recovery Leave the VM booted in Recovery after creation. Same as --boot recovery.
--shutdown Shut the VM down after the agent is installed and verified. Same as --boot none.
--dry-run Resolve and print the creation plan without creating VMs.
--resume Resume the durable Pomme agent workflow for this VM.
--parallel Create config members two at a time instead of one after another. Virtualization allows at most two macOS guests, so the flag takes no count.
